Wonka ExceptionalsAs I’ve mentioned before, I’m participating in the Trick Or Treat giveaway Hop coming October 28th. When I got the chance to work with the Wonka brand on a review of their Wonka Exceptionals candy bars, I knew it would be a great fit. So be sure to keep an eye open in late October for a Giveaway of these bars!

I think I’ve confessed this on my blog before, but I don’t like chocolate. Maybe I’m crazy, but I just don’t. So for this review I convinced Ryan and my little sister to help me out. It didn’t take much convincing, though.

Both Ryan & my sister enjoyed each of the flavors. My little sisters favorite was the Fudge ones, and Ryan agreed that he liked the fudge ones more than he would have thought. Ryan likes to eat fudge, but it’s not one of his favorite foods, so he was a bit surprised that the fudge bar came in second place for him. His favorite was the triple dazzle caramel which was also a bit surprising because he doesn’t even like caramel when it’s by itself. He said that when it was mixed with Wonka chocolate it was heavenly.

Seems how I don’t like chocolate, I’ve wondered before why there is such a wide range of price differences among chocolate. There are chocolate bars out there that come 6 or 8 in a package for 2.50 or 3.00, and other chocolate that is 8 dollars for one bar. Wonka exceptional is just over 2.00 at target, so I asked Ryan if he thought the price made sense and he said that the caramel chocolate bars are so good that he’d pay 3.00 or 3.50 a bar. So, I think he’ll definitely be a lifelong customer now that he’s tried them!

As a kid we would trick-or-treat my grandparents and my aunts and uncles houses, even though they lived out in the country where nobody trick or treated at. Seems how we were the only kids who would stop by, they would buy a handful of full sized candybars to hand out instead of the small ones. These woudl be great for something like that – I know my sister would love to get one in her trick or treat bag this year!

I love how everything from the inside of the wrapper (rainbow!) to the wonka youtube channel and website feel so magical and kid-like. I think anyone who has seen the wonka movie has a bit of a fondness for wonka candy, and I love how they continue the magical theme in everything they do.
