Since 1972 Stash Tea Company has operated out of Portland Oregon. In the beginning, Stash Tea produced loose herbal teas and bulk herbs that were marketed to natural foods stores. Then in 1975 the company created a mail order catalog and decided to embrace bagged teas. They began working with fine restaurants supplying them with traditional and special blends of herbal tea. To this day, Stash Tea is one of the largest suppliers of specialty teas, in the US.
For my review, I received three loose leaf teas from Stash Tea- Dragon Phoenix Pearl Jasmine, Almond Cream, and Estate Breakfast.
Dragon Phoenix Pearl Jasmine is hand rolled balls of Jasmine scented white tea. The white tea is harvested in the spring time and aged until summer when the Jasmine flowers are in bloom. Jasmine Flowers are picked in the morning, when the petals are closed and set aside until night time. At night, the petals bloom in the cool air, showing a sign that they are ready to be scented. This scenting process takes hours and requires a skilled hand. Dragon Phoenix Pearl Jasmine tea has a bold floral flavor. I really like drinking Jasmine teas as well as using them to flavor dishes I am cooking, rice being my favorite. These tea pearls are just beautiful and really infuse nicely.
Almond Cream tea is a sweet treat. The combination of black teas, almonds, and cinnamon, provide a rich decadent flavor. In my journey to lose weight, I am learning to say “No thank you” to desserts. After dinner, I have started brewing myself a cup of tea. Stash Tea Almond Cream has been a wonderful and easy substitute for an empty calorie dessert. I LOVE this tea with just a pinch of sugar and tablespoon of low-fat milk!
Estate Breakfast is a blend of Indian Assam, China Keemun, Ceylon and First Flush Darjeeling teas. This blend of wrapped tea leaves brews a mild flavored tea. Estate Breakfast tea has a delicate flavor that would be nice in the morning or paired with a pastry.
Stash Tea products would make a wonderful Mother’s Day gift. You can find Stash Tea on their website, Facebook, and twitter pages.
Hello, my name is Laurie. My family and I live near the Oregon coast. When we aren’t at work, in school, or on the volleyball court, we enjoy traveling, cheering for our favorite sports teams, playing outdoors, and checking off items on our bucket list. We are lucky in that both sets of our parents, as well as our siblings and their families, live within an hour of us. We get together often to help one another out, celebrate milestones, and go on adventures together.

These sound good! I recently ordered a 100 count box of Stash Jasmine Green Tea on Amazon.com, the prices are really great if you love their tea. I drink so much green tea, it makes it worthwhile.
