The Simply Bar got its start in 2002. Creator, Cathy Richards had been diagnosed with Chron’s Disease; she needed a snack that didn’t upset her stomach. Cathy couldn’t find a healthy snack that lived up to her needs so, she made one.
The Simply Bars are powerful bars packed with 16 g protein, 2-4 g fats, no more than 3 g sugar, 4 g of fiber, and have 160 calories or less. The Simply Bar has Non GMO Soy crisps and organic brown rice syrups.
The Simply Bars is a wonderful snack option for many including athletes, vegans, and people diagnosed with Celiac, Chron’s and IBS. They have a low rating on the glycemic index, are gluten free, diary free, and Kosher.
For my review, I received a sample pack of The Simply Bar with four flavors including- Cinnamon Pecan, Lemon Coconut, Peanut Butter and Caramel Peanut.
As I start my weight loss journey, I have been looking for healthy snacks. I have been told to look for snacks high in protein because it would leave me feeling full, longer. I noticed early on that a lot of the protein bars on the market were high in sugar and contained ingredients that I couldn’t pronounce… I try not to eat things I can’t say. I was really excited to try The Simply Bar; it sounded like a superior protein bar.
A few days after I received The Simply Bar, I found myself stuck in traffic and starving. I grabbed The Simply Bar from my purse and gave it a try. It was yummy and I stay full until I got home and was able to cook a healthy dinner.
My favorite flavor of The Simply Bar is Lemon Coconut, not that the others aren’t good it’s just that the Lemon Coconut is SO good!
The Simply Bar is on facebook and twitter.
One lucky winner is going to receive a sample of The Simply Bars; this is a US giveaway that will end on 7/24.

Hello, my name is Laurie. My family and I live near the Oregon coast. When we aren’t at work, in school, or on the volleyball court, we enjoy traveling, cheering for our favorite sports teams, playing outdoors, and checking off items on our bucket list. We are lucky in that both sets of our parents, as well as our siblings and their families, live within an hour of us. We get together often to help one another out, celebrate milestones, and go on adventures together.
