Minted is a fabulous online store and global community of independent graphic designers. They hold monthly design challenges for stationery, invitations and calendars among other categories. The best thing about Minted is that all graphic designers are welcome to enter. The winning designers earn cash prizes, a place in the Minted collection and commissions on all sales of their designs. Minted was started in 2007 and the very first contest was run in April of 2008. The idea behind Minted is to allow all designers the chance to get their art work on the market. The general public votes for their favorites throughout the contest. I think that is an absolutely fantastic idea and I have loved all of the products that I have looked at. There are definitely some very talented people out there!
I was given the chance to pick a piece of wall art. It took me a few hours to actually pick something out. I couldn’t decide if I wanted something for my living room, bedroom or for Little C’s room. Little C loves boats, pirates and everything in between so when I saw the Ahoy Matey Art Print I knew that was for me. I couldn’t be happier with my print. The design looks exactly like it does online and is even personalized. When I received my print in the mail I was amazed at the quality of the print. It truly looks like nothing I’ve ever seen before and of course Little C was super excited. As soon as I find the perfect frame, I will be hanging it on my little guy’s bedroom door.
You can check Minted out on Pinterest, Facebook and Twitter and while you are there check in to see if you would be interested in entering one of their contests! You can also enjoy Free Ground Shipping on back-to-school essentials by using code: SCHOOL. This deal expires on 8/31/2012.
Win It: 1 reader will win $50 credit towards ANYTHING on the Minted site that you would like!
