Here in Michigan school starts next week for kids. I was recently sent a Rubbermaid Lunchblox sandwich kit to try out. The kit contains four containers. The biggest on is the perfect size for a sandwich and the lid that goes over it has grooves that let you snap in either the remaining containers so that they all become one piece or you can snap on the blue ice pack, and then snap the three smaller containers into the ice pack so that the containers keep cool.

The three containers that sit on top consist of two small containers (that are each about 1/4 of the size of the sandwich container) of identical size that would be great for carrots, grapes, strawberries, etc. The last container is the size of two of the small containers or 1/2 of the sandwich container so it could be used for tons of things.

The containers lock into space so well that I can flip it upside down and the medium sized container stays in place and part of the time the two small containers did as well but sometimes they’d slip. However, as long as you don’t literally flip it upside down, I think it’s safe to say that they’ll stay where they belong.

I’ve found myself using these containers for leftover food storage after meals when we aren’t planning to use them for lunch’s or picnics. They are microwave, dishwasher and freezer safe which makes them really convenient for food storage because if I get hungry for some leftovers of last nights dinner I can just pop the entire container in the microwave, heat it up and eat it directly from the container instead of having to dirty another bowl.
