By now you all know that I love Chicken Soup for the Soul books. I definitely think that Mark Victor Hansen and Jack Canfield had the perfect idea when creating these books. Combining inspirational stories from all walks of life and putting the collections together to create a book couldn’t have been any more comforting then eating a nice warm bowl of chicken soup itself. I have read many Chicken Soup for the Soul books and I have always been able to connect with them in one or another.
The most recent Chicken Soup book I have reviewed is Chicken Soup for the Soul Married Life. This was actually a perfect fit for me as my 5th wedding anniversary is coming up on November 17th. Chicken Soup for the Soul Married Life is compiled of 101 inspirational stories about fun, family and wedded bliss. I laughed out loud at some of the stories, as it was a situation I had experienced. It was nice to read that someone out there had experienced similar situations that I have experienced whether it had been good, bad or sad. We all have feelings and we all learn what works in our marriage and what doesn’t. Sometimes it is easy to feel all alone and think that no one could possibly understand how you feel, but Chicken Soup for the Soul Married Life has a story for everyone.
As I was reading, my husband would hear me laugh and ask what was so funny. I would hand him over the book and he would read the story and laugh. It was nice to connect in that way. My husband doesn’t typically like to read books, but after reading a few of the stories he had no problem picking up the book and thumbing through it. It was just nice to see.
Chicken Soup for the Soul Married Life is the perfect book for any married couple whether you have been married for 1 year or 30 years.
