My grandparents own a cabin on a lake that is about 2.5 hours north of where we are from. As a kid, the drive to the cabin felt soooo incredibly long. We would pile our blankets and pillows in the center area between my sister and I and when we got tired we’d rest our heads on the pile of blankets instead of the uncomfortable window. It was still far from ideal because we’d be leaning across the car with a crooked neck but at least it was soft.

Noodlehead makes travel pillows for kids that they call travel buddies that come in cute animal designs. With many families traveling a few hours or even a few states away during the holidays, their gifts work great as presents but also as practical items to help make the trip more comfortable for them. My sister is 9 and she has enjoyed using the Noodlehead travel pillow in the car when she knows that they’ll be staying out late at a party or get together and she’ll be tired on the way home. She’s also used it in the middle of the day just because it’s so soft and cozy around her neck. They’d be great for kids who have a long car ride or plane trip to endure or for toddlers and preschoolers who regularly fall asleep in their carseats. I always feel bad for kids after they transition to booster seats without the head rest area because they look so uncomfortable while sleeping in the car.

Noodlehead also offers luggage tags called bag buddies that come in the same cute animal designs as the neck pillows so kids can get matching sets. The belly area of each tag has a card that you can personalize with your child’s name and info.

The last item that I was sent was two adventure logs. These are journals that have paper and notepads inside, as well as a regular pencil, colored pencils, a sharpener & eraser, measuring tape and more. The items inside leave the journals a bit open ended so children can choose to use the journal to document a trip, write about their findings on a hike or just to draw or color to pass the time in the car.

Snugglepaws are super cute stuffed toys that “hug” onto fleece blankets. These are great for traveling because they pack up really small so they are easy to transport but can also stay accessible for children if they want to cuddle up in a car, the plane or even just while camping. I can see kids also utilizing these for naps at daycare, prek or kindergarten as well as sleep overs at a friends house. I think they would make a great gift for toddlers all the way up through younger teens.
