I would like to share Race to the Treasure from Peaceable Kingdom with you.  This is yet another unbelievable game from this award winning company.  Peaceable Kingdom has been around since 1983 and enjoys creating games and other products for children.  Their mission is to make good, do good and be good.  I definitely think that they live up to their mission.

Race to the Treasure is the 3rd game that I have reviewed from Peaceable Kingdom and Little C enjoys it just as much as he has enjoyed the other games.  I knew that Race to the Treasure would be perfect for Little C when I read the title.  He loves anything to do with treasure so this game was a huge hit!  Race to the Treasure received this year’s Oppenheim Platinum Best Toy Award for ages 5 and up.  Race to the Treasure is also a green game.  It is made of post-consumer recycled cardboard and printed with soy-based inks.  This is no doubt a great game all the way around.

Even though Race to the Treasure is for children 5 years and older, Little C loved playing it.  He is 4 and the game had to be explained to him a couple of times before he really understood what the goal was, but now he has no problem at all playing it.  Race to the Treasure is a cooperative game for children to play together.  The goal in the game is to beat the Ogre to the Treasure.  The players work together to make a continuous path from START to the treasure while collecting 3 keys that will unlock the treasure. I have to say that when we played the first time we lost to the Ogre and Little C wasn’t very happy, but we knew that we had to work harder to win the next time.  Little C would get so excited over this game and it was just awesome to watch.  I have no doubt that Race to the Treasure will be one of his go to games for a long time to come.

If you are shopping for great games this holiday season make sure you check out Peaceable Kingdom.  There are so many fun games to choose from.  Make sure you check them out on Facebook and Twitter as well.

Win It: One US Resident will win a copy of Willy’s Wiggly Web (Check out my review here) or Race to the Treasure.  Good luck and have fun playing!
