With so many of the foods that we purchase today, it’s hard to imagine how they could be connected to nature or a farm. That’s not the case with Tyrrells. Tyrrells was founded in 2002 in Herefordshire, England. The farm has a tree house that has survived many storms and still resides in the branches of the old tree. It used to be a hang out for the Tyrrells Court boys but is now used as a location for special meetings.
They Tyrrells Chips are cooked by hand in small batches to ensure that they have the right amount of crispiness and crunch. They are home-spun to remove access oil. All of the potatoes used are hand-selected from farms that are within a 25 mile radius of Tyrrells Court Farm. Most of the time, the potatoes from Tyrrells are harvested, fried, bagged and taken to the store shelf in a single day! In fact, the business is so small that most of the time, when you open a bag of Tyrrells chips it was picked and shipped by Debb and Sam the “warehouse twins”. Debb has been working at Tyrrells for over 10 years already. Their products are gluten free, and many of their varieties are vegetarian and even vegan friendly!
Connect: You can connect with Tyrrells on Facebook and Twitter.
Win it: A 3 month supply of Tyrrells! It has been my pleasure providing captions for your different bags of Tyrrell Chips. Always, I strive to poke fun at the world without inflicting any personal offense. If you need me to tickle your “funny bones” in the future, then please let me know. In closing, after you make tons of money selling Tyrrell Chips, then please come to America and spend much of that money here. (We need some debt relief, and you can always use a wonderful vacation.) drmrs 2/6/2013
