I’ve been in the same size of clothing for several years now, so while I rarely ever “need” new clothes, I still have that desire to get new clothing to help me feel my best. Nothing compares to having a new outfit that you feel great in, right? J Jeans And Things is a small online store that offers designer jeans, clothing and accessories at lower prices than you’ll find elsewhere for the same items. As a 5 foot tall girl, shopping for jeans can be difficult – especially online and the owner, Jamie has been really patient with me when we discovered that I was far too short for the jeans I had originally selected. I can only guess that her patience and kindness also comes out while dealing with customer service situations with customers as well.

While the 36″ inseam bootcut jeans don’t work well for me at 5 foot tall, they’d be great for tall women who struggle to find long enough jeans elsewhere. Although the site doesn’t mention that the bootcut jeans are a “long” length, they do have a 36 inch inseam so keep that in mind. The bootcut jeans I was originally sent were LA jeans brand and felt like great quality, although I didn’t wear them other than trying them on.

So the second time around I selected some Skinny Jeans from J Jeans and Things seems how they have a shorter inseam. The are still long on me, but all jeans that I have ever bought are, as even “short” jeans are too long on me. While being a bit long, they are still wearable and they are really comfortable, too. I ordered my regular size and they fit nicely. They have enough of a stretch that they are comfortable to wear without feeling like they squeeze me. They don’t seem to “stretch out” over the day like some stretch jeans do, and I love the shade of purple. So many colored skinny jeans are really bright, and while I think some people can pull of the really shocking colors well, that isn’t quite me so I like this more subtle shade of purple. They still tend to stand out and I’ve gotten several comments on them the few times that I have wore them. At $29.99 they are right int he price range that I would expect ot pay for jeans no matter where I shopped, so I feel they are an awesome price for being a brand that is designer inspired.

I was also able to check out a ruffled top that isn’t currently listed on the site, but is really similar to this Z Lace Ruffle Tank, mine just has short sleeves instead of being a tank top. It has ruffled layers, where one layer is lace, the next is cotton and then they swap back and forth in a pattern. I really like ruffles and I’ve found that other ruffle shirts are flattering on me because they hide imperfections in their layers. I sometimes fit a size small and sometimes a medium, and I originally ordered the top in a black medium and it was rather tight across my lower back so it really showed my “love handles”. So the second time around I was sent the same shirt in purple in a large. If you couldn’t tell from the purple pants above, I love purple. While the front of the shirt is generously sized on me and does hide imperfections, the back is still tighter than I would like and I have to wear some of my larger fitting jeans to avoid having a really unflattering, lumpy lower back. That said, I really like the shirt and am happy to find ways to wear it even though I have to watch what I wear with it. This top can be machine washed but needs to hang dry. It sells for $12.99 which is a great price for this super cute top. I have found that I can wear it casually or pair it with a shrug or cardigan and a skirt to dress it up.
