Koala Kuddles is a company that makes muslin cotton cloth swaddling blankets. They are very similar to regular recieving blankets except they are larger. Some of my nieces and nephews have deemed one or a few of their infant recieving blankets as their ‘blankies’ that they still carry around for comfort now that they are toddlers. So although the larger size does allow for these to be used as swaddlers longer, I think having the larger size would be great in case your child decides to keep them long term as a comfort item as well.
When I first received my pack of Koala Kuddles I was surprised at how they seemed on the rough side, especially for baby blankets. But I threw them in the wash and they softened slightly the first time, and after using a fabric softener they softened even more. The website says they will continue to soften with every wash, which would also be great if your child decides to keep these long term.
The blankets are made out of muslin cotton which allows sweat and excess heat to leave the swaddle, unlike most swaddling blankets.
