Ryan is a smoker. Being that he also loves anything electronic or technology related, he wanted an electronic cigarette from the day we heard they existed.
What is an electronic cigarette? It’s a little electronic device that you plug in at night, and during the day you can use it just like a regular cigarette, you just suck on the end and it gives you the flavor and nicotine. However, electronic cigarettes don’t contain tobacco or produce smoke, just water vapor, so they are believed to not cause cancer or other such harm to those around you because there’s no second hand smoke being inhaled. Due to this, they are still legal in public places were ‘regular’ smoking is now illegal. Michigan went ‘smoke free’ May first, I believe it was. So we can no longer smoke in bars, restaurants, bowling alleys, or within a set number of feet from ANY public place. Not sure how many other states have went smoke free but that’s how it is here now.
Anyway, there are two ways that you can refill your e cigarette. One is to buy new cartridges, which are the ‘filter’ or ‘butt’ end of the electronic cigarette. Cartridges come with this little bit of cotton-like stuff that already has some flavor and nicotine on it, these usually last for the duration of approximately 20 cigarettes, sometimes more.
The other way is to buy empty filters (or make your own with poly-fill) and then drip liquid flavoring/nicotine on them yourself. The cheaper way is to use liquid, but until working with buy electronic cigarette, we hadn’t tried this method.

buy electronic cigarette was generous enough to send me six flavors to try out. These come in 6ml bottles, and you and choose the amount of nicotine that you want (0 is an option, all the way up to 36mg). I told the company that my boyfriend was used to Marlboro reds and they sent me 18mg. Although they seem to work for him strength wise, he does seem to smoke a bit more due to the nicotine level being lower. So I think that he could have went up to 24mg which is the next level up. However, from what I understand he is used to smoking some of the strongest cigarettes out there so I’m not sure that would be true for others who are smokers of other brands or types of cigarettes.
The flavors we tried (I don’t usually smoke at all but I tried these just out of curiosity, haha):
English Toffee: Ryan felt like this one seemed stronger than the others, which he enjoyed. While it still smelled really good and was sweet.
Butterscotch: This was my favorite. It tasted really good, and was a very realistic butterscotch type taste.
Tutti Fruiti: I have never tried anything that was tutti fruiti flavor before, so I had no idea what to expect. However, this one didn’t seem as strong flavored so I had a hard time grasping what it was like. Ryan did know what tutti frutti was suppose to be like and he thought it was true to taste, but he wished it was a more powerful taste.
Cream De Menthe: I had no idea what this was suppose to taste like either. However, Ryan said this is his favorite, hands down. He said it tasted great and was strong.
Mango: I liked this one, though Ryan didn’t. I asked if he liked mango’s and he said no. So that’s probably why. haha.
Commercial Tobacco: This was pretty much just an ‘everyday cigarette’ type of taste.
Overall Ryan was hapyp with them and we plan to change over to using liquid isntead of cartridges now, because these bottles sell for 5.95 which is going to end up being a lot cheaper than prefilled cartridges.
