I recently was given the opportunity to work with three sisters cereal. They are a fairly new company that makes natural, sustainable cereal. I was sent three types of their cereal to try out. I was sent cinnamon sweets, which are rectangular shaped cereal that has a cinnamony flavor. I personally feel that these are much better than the similar cereals that they may be compared to. They have a great amount of cinnamon added, I personally enjoy cinnamon but occasionally products can overdo the cinnamon and ruin the food, which certainly isn’t the case here. These are really yummy and were gone within just a few days. The cinnamon sweets contain no trans fat or hydrogenated oils.

We were also sent honey oaties, which are a donut shaped honey flavored cereal. These were also very yummy and they contain whole grain oats! I can’t compare these to the typical brand because i’m not in the habit of buying that brand, but they are certainly comparable to the off brand cereals of this type, except of course these are whole grain, and the company is more eco-conscious! But before I tell you about that, we’ll move on to the last type of cereal I was sent.

The marshmallow oaties were by far Ryan’s favorite. He said that he loved how many marshmallows they have in comparison to the amount of ‘the rest’ of the cereal. They certainly have a higher ratio of marshmallows to ‘the rest’ than your typical brand of marshmallow cereal. I’m sure kids (and many men as well, hehe) would love this.

It’s not just the natural ingredients for the cereals that I like about this company. I also love that all of their cereals are made using wind energy. Plus, three sisters cereals uses appropriate bag sizes. Meaning, the bag of cereal is actually full. I hate buying cereal or chips and then getting it home and opening the package and realizing that the company uses large packaging in an attempt to make you think you are getting more product than you are. Not only is this frustrating due to being ‘tricked’ but also because it wastes packaging and there’s no good reason for it.

Overall I’m very pleased with both three sisters, their cereals taste great and their company has great practices in play. If you’re looking for a company that makes cereal that is sustainable and eco-conscious, you should definitely try them out!
