I was sent a 12″ microfiber mop set from simply good stuff. I was interested in this mop because it claims that it will remove 99% of dirt and germs from your floors with just water. No cleaning supplies needed other than this mop. I try to use only safe cleaning supplies, but they can be pricey. So I was really hoping this mop would work. It does! I have used no other mops on my floors since this arrived about 3 weeks ago. The mop comes with three different types of cleaning pads. One is white basically a duster and is meant to be used while dry. Another is dark blue, and is chenille. This pad is good for big spills or collecting a lot of dust. It works wet or dry depending on what you are using it for. The last type of pad is a multipurpose pad. There are two of these included with your mop and this is the one I’ve used the most. It works great for a typical mop, for cleaning your entire floor area or it works great for quick clean ups of spills too. All of the pads can be thrown in with your regular wash to be washed and dried. I have found that unless I have a particularly sticky or messy floor, I can mop for a couple days before I feel the need to wash the pads. I just rinse them under water and let them dry and then use them again. When I had looked at this mop online I wasn’t sure how the pads would attach.The base of the microfiber mop has tiny prickles all across it, so you simply push the backside of the pads against the base of the mop and it clings on. When you pull the pads off, it reminds me of velcro being undone. A really unique system but it seems to work great. I haven’t needed to use any chemicals or cleaning supplies on my floor since receiving this mop. I love the lack of chemicals and I love not having disposable pads that are taking up space in landfills. Another benefit of this mop from simply good stuff is it’s retractable handle. My kitchen is very small, and with traditional mops with wooden handles, it was quite difficult to get the mop head up to the faucet without having the mop handle jab into the cupboards, stove, etc. With this mop I simply twist the handle and retract it so that it shortens so I can easily get the mop head into the sink. Then I twist again to lengthen the handle back out so I can use it while standing up. This is a really great mop. Costs under 20 dollars and keeps you from needing to buy floor cleaning supplies or disposable swiffer pads! Definitely worth it.
