Wow. If you have a little guy (or girl!) who loves to build or loves figuring out how things go together or work…I definitely have a gift idea for you! The rokenbok works construction and action set is amazing. If you read my past rokenbok review you know that I loved that set as well, but this one is great for kids who are interested in taking their creations to the next step. Who wouldn’t want to say “yeah, I made that construction site!” At first glance, the construction site looks like it would be too difficult for a 6 year old to build by himself, but rokenbok knows toys and knows kids, and my 6 year old nephew was able to do it all by himself, without help. I was really impressed. My nephew really likes the conveyor, as this was nothing like any of his other toys. The conveyor starts all by itself, which surprised him and even to an adult is a pretty cool feature. He also really likes remote controlled cars, so this was a great way to combine his interests into one. The remote control is big and pretty basic, so it’s easy for the kids to manipulate on their own. At first my nephew would forget which of the 4 buttons caused the loader to do what action, but once he memorized it he didn’t have any other problems. For a limited time, if you purchase the works set, you get a free action sorter and conveyor set, which is an $80 value!
I was also sent a power sweeper for review. It is a remote controlled vehicle that sweeps up rokenbok balls under the front of the vehicle and then carries them into the holding tank. From there, you can use the remote control to lift the holding tank up, which opens the tailgate so that you can dump the balls out of the back. So it’s similar to a dump truck, except it’s more fun because it sweeps the balls up from the front and carries them to the back. My nephew really enjoyed this toy as well, and it uses the same remote so he only had to get used to one remote and then he could control both vehicles which was cool. As I mentioned in my previous review, rokenbok toys are plastic which often scares me but they are really well made and their controller electronics and building components are under a lifetime warrenty.
