Ryan and I have been lucky so far this year, as neither of us have battled bad colds. However, humidifiers are a great thing to have around when a cold strikes. Who wants to take more medication than they need to? They are especially great for parents with babies, who are much less likely to receive medication for colds. As a kid I often had nosebleeds at my dads, which we always assumed was due to the difference in the air at his house – I wish they made these adorable humidifiers back then! Crane humidifiers are adorable, as they come in the design of several animals, and they don’t get hot so you don’t have to worry as much about putting them in your child’s room. It’s recommended that you leave the humidifier well off the ground though, for safety reasons. Although we haven’t had colds, I have been using the humidifier to increase the moisture in the air which would help out his skin. So that’s what I did. I set up the humidifier very easily. I simply took off the top (frog eyes). Picked up the center piece (belly) and turned it over. I untwisted the cap and filled it with water. I turned it back over and carried it back to the frog feet base (remember not to use the handle while carrying it full of water as it can break) and set it back down into the feet and turned it on at a medium level. I could see the moisture leaving the froggy eyes right away. Every few hours I would check the water level (the water level is observable from the outside) and have been amazed at how long the water lasts. The container holds a gallon of water and lasts up to 11 hours. If the tank runs dry without you noticing, it has a safety feature that will turn itself off. How neat is that? I remember having humidifiers as a kid that hummed. Not insanely loudly, but after a week or so of using a humidifier at night time, and then removing the humidifier, it was hard to sleep because I had gotten used to the noise. The Crane Humidifier. It’s great!

Oh the ‘swamp’theme can make for a really cute nursery! My brother and sister in law didnt find out the gender until birth, so they did a frog/duck basically to try and stay gender neutral but it’s SO cute. Lots of adorable bugs and critters. I love it :).
My daughter was so excited when I gave her this humidifier for their nursery. They have a frog and swamp theme going and this fit in perfectly.
