After we finished having dinner at Tony Packo’s, we headed out to a baseball game. I have a confession that might make me unamerican – I had never been to a baseball game before! Except for high school games and little kids’ games. So, needless to say it was about time I experienced a game. The Mud Hen’s are a Toledo minor league team. We had great seats and the heat cooled down a bit for us just in time. By great seats I mean we could practically reach out and touch first base which was pretty cool. There are stands with all kinds of yummy treats from soda to popcorn, to nachos to alcohol. This would be a great way to have a relaxing, fun date or to take the kids if they have an interest in sports. We saw lots of kids and people of all ages who clearly were very proud of their towns team. Really neat experience for me because baseball isn’t a big deal in my area. So if you end up in the Toledo you should definitely try out a mud hen’s game if you get the chance!

We got to see the Cleveland Indians a few times when we lived in NE Ohio and the boys saw the Akron Aeros. It was always fun to see the professionals. Seems like you had good weather, too.
