Record a Story is world’s largest publisher of interactive children’s books. “Record a Story allows readers to easily record their voices narrating a story, and the narration then plays when each page is turned. Parents or Grandparents can create custom recorded storybooks for their kids and grandkids, and kids can do the same for parents or other long-distance relatives.”
We were sent the classic story of Frosty the Snowman. Along with the book comes easy to follow instructions for recording one’s voice over the pre-recorded master narration. You may record as many times as you want. You can also lock the recording so little fingers don’t
accidently erase it.
I didn’t tell my girls that this story was recorded. We sat down to read our bedtime stories, they opened the new book and were amazed when the story started “talking to them!” It was pretty darn cute, watching their reactions.
Record a Story has several stories for you to choose from. Award winning in 2010- Guess How much I Love You; ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas; Sesame Street: Together at Heart; and Dora the Explorer: Exploring Memories. New this year, My Grandpa is Special/My Grandma is Special; Good Night, Sesame Street; The Day You Were Born; Thomas: Good Night, Little Engine; I Love You So Much;
Ten Little Pumpkins; The First Christmas; and Frosty the Snowman.
Each story has nine beautiful pages and a padded cover with embossed and foiled details. The storybook requires three AAA batteries that are included with purchase. No, your recording will not be erased when you change batteries…someone was thinking ahead!
Record a Story would be WONDERFUL gift for military families, families that live long distances from each other or if a Parent travels a lot for work.

Hello, my name is Laurie. My family and I live near the Oregon coast. When we aren’t at work, in school, or on the volleyball court, we enjoy traveling, cheering for our favorite sports teams, playing outdoors, and checking off items on our bucket list. We are lucky in that both sets of our parents, as well as our siblings and their families, live within an hour of us. We get together often to help one another out, celebrate milestones, and go on adventures together.
