My boys were super excited when the Land of Nod box arrived on ourdoor step, it made a great first impression, it was very unique with personalized tape just for Land Of Nod with the alphabet is pretty cursive letters.
Crafts have always been a center of entertainment for my boy who continue to make and build things even as old as they are. The I’m Not Bored Anymore Art Jar was well recieved and they immediately pulled every last piece out of the jar to inspect what there was and start to plot what could be done with it. One thing that I really like about the art jar is that it included scissors, I know this sounds like a really small and rather silly thing but it is the one item along with glue that is constantly disappearing in my house. I really think that they get taken outside or just left in really random places that I cannot think of but whoever created this jar was right on top of it.
The quality of the items in the jar were great and there was a little bit of many different items, which allowed the project planning to be very different depending on the kid that was currently working. I also liked that there was not just one of each item, I have purchased product similar to this in the past and had fights between the boys because there was only one spool or one clothes pin and both boys had a plan for what should be done with it. But without a doubt, my absolute favorite thing about this box is that it is self contained, everything is already packed in it not in vacuum seal packages so that when it is all unpack it all goes back in with no problems. I give that an A+. There are many small pieces in this jar so if you have young children this would not be the best product for you.
Here is what the boys had to say:
A (age 11) – I like the wood stuff in the jar, it was fun to make model people with the stuff in there and there were a lot of bright colors. There was actually stuff that boys will use and have fun with.
B – (age 9) – I liked the pipe cleaners the most because I had this idea that I could make animals with them and use the puff and eyes to complete them. The colors were good for animals because they were right. I have lots more ideas for the jar. It seems like a good idea to have in the art shelf.
I am pleased to say that Land of Nod has agreed to offer one of our readers their own I’m Not Bored Anymore Art Jar.
