For my review, I received Thin Hemp Twine, Natural .5mm 10lb Waxed Hemp Cord. My original plan was to use it in my gardening and I will as soon as we finally see the Oregon sun but, in the meantime we have used it on some craft projects. The first time we used it was when my Daughters and Nephew wanted to make bird feeders that they saw in a children’t magazine article. I wanted this project to be completely made from stuff we found around the house and could repurpose. The girls found some cardboard that they could use and I found some old pie tins. We mixed bird seed with some lard (per the articles suggestion) and rubbed it on the surfaces. Then we used HempCraft hemp twine to hang our bird feeders. It worked beautifully; the kids and birds were very happy.

Valerie has recently started a new adventure making hand dyed and hand spun yarn. This branch of her company is called Peace Love & Hand Spun and it offers skeins of yarn that are made with natural fibers. Each skein is 100% unique in its varing colors and texture. When I last visited with Valerie, she was crocheting a scarf with her yarn. It was beautiful and super soft.

You can find all of Valerie’s beautiful creations on her HempCraft website and HempCraft Facebook or her Peace Love & Hand Spun website.
