Kid Basix is around because the company has a strong desire to make kids’ lives better. Kid Basix knows how hazardous plastics can be to our health. It’s with that fear that founders created the Safe Sippy cup and continue to make safe products for our kids.
Want an easy and very cost effective way to replace your plastic water cups? Invest in Kid Basix reusable stainless steel water bottles. Kid Basix estimates you can save nearly $2000 per year with this simple change.
Did you know that it takes 5 ounces of oil to produce a water bottle? If we saved the oil that we use in one year to make water bottles, we could power 12 million cars. How about this, it takes 2-7 times the amount of water that a bottle holds, to fabricate it. That’s about one trillion (yes…that’s a T) gallons wasted each year. And perhaps the most frightening statistic of them all, we recycle less than 15% of the plastic water bottles that are used. That is very sad since recycling has been made pretty easy for the vast majority of us.
For our review, the thoughtful and generous people at Kid Basix sent both of my daughters a Safe Sporter. We love these water bottles! They are very durable. The kid-friendly pull spout is great and I love that they included a mud cap to help protect the drinking area. Kid Basix hit a homerun with this product!
I have cleaned out my cabinets and either recycled all of our plastic drinking cups or found new homes for them. I am on a personal mission to clean up my home and further our journey towards living a green, natural, and crunchy lifestyle. The girls are having a lot of fun helping me and learning right along with me. They are taking responsibility for the things that they can change at 5 and almost 3 years of age.
You can find all the wonderful Kid Basix products on their website, Facebook, and twitter pages.
Hello, my name is Laurie. My family and I live near the Oregon coast. When we aren’t at work, in school, or on the volleyball court, we enjoy traveling, cheering for our favorite sports teams, playing outdoors, and checking off items on our bucket list. We are lucky in that both sets of our parents, as well as our siblings and their families, live within an hour of us. We get together often to help one another out, celebrate milestones, and go on adventures together.
