The title says it all! This CD is full of fun and entertainment! Recess Monkey is made up of Jack Forman, Daren Henry, and Drew Holloway. These guys are former teachers and really know what catches kids attention. They all met while teaching in a Seattle school and released their first CD in 2005. Upon receiving this CD, I wondered if I had made the right decision. I love to have children’s cds in my car because Little C is with me most of the time. Don’t get me wrong, I love listening to the radio and would much rather do so, however, when Little C turned 2 and really started picking up and repeating words I knew it was time to switch from my music to his. I’m glad I made that choice a year and a half ago because Little C picks up on even more now. I have several different cds for him in my car that he asks for quite often. They are what I consider “the dreaded cds”. I definitely don’t enjoy most of them, but know that it is the right choice. When I received In Tents I immediately put it in. The song titles sounded so fun and were different then any other cd I have. With titles such as, Popcorn, Sit and Spin, Bouncy House and Carousel I knew this sounded interesting and fun. The minute the cd started playing, my 3 year old started bouncing around in his car seat! I don’t get that reaction out of him with any other cd we have. It was amazing! The music is fun for kids and not so bad for parents either. I have to say, this is my go to CD in the car now and my husband doesn’t mind it either. Little C asks for “the Popcorn” CD every time we get in the car and I can honestly say that I don’t mind putting it in and letting him have some fun. In Tents is a breath of fresh air for this parent! Thank you Recess Monkey!
