Who wouldn’t love a no touch thermometer? With a 3 year old I thought it would come in quite handy and boy was I right. I have had the amazing opportunity to review the RediScan No Touch Thermometer and I absolutely love it! Not only does it take bodily temperature, you can also measure the temperature of the room you are in, your baby’s bottle, or soup that you have fixed your little one. I was absolutely in awe of all of the temperatures that this thermometer could measure. I really wish that I had had this thermometer in the middle of the night when my little guy was a baby. It would have made things a whole lot easier!
I was afraid that I wasn’t going to get the chance to test out the thermometer on my little guy. I had tested it on Little C, however he was perfectly healthy so he was always curious as to why I wanted to take him temp. Little C is 3 years old, so I typically take his temperature under his arm, which is not an easy task in the middle of the night when he doesn’t feel well. Unfortunately my little guy did end up getting sick during this review. As a parent I hate it when my baby doesn’t feel good, as I feel helpless. However, having the RediScan No Touch Thermometer was a life saver in the middle of the night when Little C came into my room with his body on fire. I obviously knew he had a temp, but I needed to know just how high it was. Had I not had the RediScan No Touch Thermometer, I would have had to take his temp under his arm, however I was able to get my thermometer, turn it on and hold it about 3 inches away from his head to get a very accurate temperature.
You may ask, how do you know if you are holding the thermometer at the right distance? Well, the thermometer beeps when it is the right distance from your/your child’s head. Since my little guy was sick, I had to check his temp before I went to bed to make sure he was okay. The beeping didn’t even bother him. It was amazing! I was a little worried that it would wake him up, but I had absolutely no problems. I was able to take his temperature and know that he was okay all without waking him up. What a great tool!
