I was sent a copy of How Short Hitting, Bad Golfers Break 90 All the Time for review. I am, myself, not a golfer, so both my mate and I read it in order to give opinions of both golfer and non-golfer alike. My mate began reading it and knew he was gleaning good golf tips immediately. He read it rather quickly for how long it normally takes him to read a book. The author gives many simple techniques which can be practiced at home and my mate has been utilizing many of them. His golf game has already improved a lot. Being able to practice these moves at home is really helpful since it is not always possible to get out to the golf course or putting range.

As for me, I found the book easy to read and quite pleasant. For the most part it was written technically, but the author has a way of making the technicalities easy to understand. He also peppers the book with personal anecdotes that are often very charming. Even though I am not familiar with the jargon of golfers, the author made it easy to understand and the book made me feel as if I could play golf, too. The book has inspired me to begin trying to golf and I have practiced a bit of the tricks with my mate and hope to get out to the golf course with him over the summer. Using the techniques the author explains in such an easy-to-understand manner will make it so my mate can improve and I can begin to enjoy this sport. I would recommend this book to people who have been playing for years and also newcomers like myself.

You can find out more about this book on his website.
