Joe the Cigartainer started Private Brands of Cigars over a decade ago in order to ensure there was a high quality cigar that could be used for business and entertainment purposes. Since then he has been written about in several magazines and even written his own book entitled Long Ashes, Baby! which is his kind of trademark statement. He also explains on his website the idea that long ashes show the quality of the cigar.
He sent me a really great case of cigars that were hand-rolled and personalized by a Cuban. I have not really smoked many cigars in my life and neither has my mate, but we both liked the idea of trying them. You are able to get your cigars personalized, of course, but I just asked Joe to send me whatever he had since I had no real “occasion” coming up. Though, my mate said next year he would like to get some personalized for the guys in his bowling league.
We had some friends over to have a “cigar party.” Some had smoked “real” cigars before and others hadn’t. My house smelled surprisingly less bad afterwards than I thought it would.:)
My friend had smoked cheap cigars before but he had no idea how good a cigar could taste. After smoking these cigars he said he would make it a regular indulgence. Look how happy he looks! And how long the ashes are. Joe also made it really easy for us because he sent a lighter and cigar cutter as well.
You can find out more about Joe the Cigartainer and his high-quality cigars on both his website and facebook pages. His website is really informative about the Cigartainer himself and about cigar manufacturing in general.
