I’ve always been a picky eater and I’ve gotten a lot of flack over the years for not caring for various foods. However, the food i’ve gotten the most flack over is definitely chocolate. Nobody can believe that I don’t care for chocolate. Ryan on the other hand enjoys milk chocolate and when offered the chance to review the artisan chocolate from St Croix Chocolate Co, he was happy to help me out. The chocolate listed at st croix isn’t your everyday “just because” chocolate. It seems perfect, pretty and comes completely ready to be handed over as a gift. It just looks SO nice.
We were sent the purple wave chocolate box which comes with 10 surprise chocolates. The box is long and skinny and the top has a peek through area that teases you until you open the lid to see the rest. Ryan said that the chocolate was as good as other types he has tried, but didn’t think that he would spend so much money on it. Ryan enjoyed the chocolate “just because” but it would be better fit for a gift or special occasion. The box is so pretty and unique that it seems wrong to throw it away even after the chocolate is gone.
I like how the website offers a two piece box and one piece boxes. How cute would it be to present a small box with two pieces of chocolate while on a date? I don’t think I’ve ever seen a company offer something like that but it would be a really sweet idea. Their one piece boxes would make a simple, sweet treat for birthdays, an engagement, as a bridesmaids gift or even something simple like a birthday party or end of the year teacher gift.
