In 1946 Frank Cotter and G Howlett Davis discovered that if they built a double-walled cup, the trapped air would insulate the beverage in the cup. With this new design, both warm and cold beverages would hold on to their temperatures longer. The double wall design would also greatly increase the durability of the cup.

Frank Cotter and G Howlett Davis decided to combine their last names to create a business name, Tervis was formed and the double-walled tumbler business was started.

In 1950 the Donelly family purchased Tervis and incorporated the company in 1967. Sixty five years later, Tervis is still a family owned business, operating in the USA. They offer tumblers in six different sizes, optional accessories, and hundreds of ways to customize your Tervis Tumbler.

For our review, we received an OSU Water Bottle and a Tervis Logo Water Bottle. Both Water Bottles have a snap shut lid with an easy to carry (or hook) handle. Tervis Water Bottles make it super convenient to carry around 24 ounces of our favorite beverage…water. They also have a nice tapered bottom so that they can fit in all of our cup holders.

My Husband and I love our new Tervis Water Bottles. My Husband likes that his water bottle has the logo of his favorite college football team, the OSU Beavers. I love that the Tervis Water Bottle is dishwasher safe and super resilient if my Daughters or I accidently drop it.

You can find all of the wonderful Tervis products on their website, facebook, and twitter pages.
