I am a confessed guacamole snob. It is one of my favorite things to eat. Growing up in TX it was a cheap, healthy snack. In Ohio, where I live now, avocados can cost upwards of $3 a piece so I rarely get to treat myself. I have also not been one for packaged guacamoles, though I have tried many. Then along comes Wholly Guacamole! It’s as much fun to say as it is to eat! Wholly Guacamole sent me everything pictured in the photo above! It was so much more product than I had anticipated receiving and I loved every single bite. I didn’t  know they sold such a variety!
I received Organic Guacamole (which was my favorite), Classic Guacamole, Spicy Guacamole, 100 Calorie Packs, Pico de Gallo, Guacasalsa, Guacamole topped with Pico de Gallo layered dip, Wholly Chunky Avocado, Mild Wholly Salsa and Medium Wholly Salsa, as well as a chip clip and a stress-relief ball shaped like an avocado! I enjoyed every one of these, but for the “spicy” I had to add a bit of sour cream to make it more suitable to my taste buds. My mate, however, preferred the spicy, so it all depends on your relationship with spiciness. It is nice that it comes in varieties for all palates.
I was really impressed with the 100 calorie packs that were sent to me in both classic and spicy. It comes with 6 in a box and is a great way to portion out your guac in healthy doses. I was surprised at how much 100 calories worth of guacamole is. Avocados have a reputation for being fattening, but it is a “good” type of fat and wonderful to incorporate into your diet. These are great packs to add to your lunch box. You can freeze them, add them to your lunch box, and they will be thawed by lunchtime!
When I first received this we just ate chips, guac, and salsa.

But there was so much guacamole I had to figure out better uses than that. So I made quesadillas with guac and cheese. I made BLTs with guac instead of mayo. I made egg salad with avocado as an addendum to the normal mayo.  Perhaps the best dish I made was with the Chunky Avocado. I made an avocado salad dressing by mixing a bit of plain yogurt, vinegar, a touch of sugar and some dill with the Chunky Avocado. I served it over fresh baby greens, tomatoes, cucumbers and green onions. It was quite lovely and I can see using the dressing as a substitute for the dressing in a coleslaw.
I see on the wholly quacamole website they have recently come up with some new flavours that sound great! They are now carrying Avocado Verde, Wholly Pineapple Salsa, Wholly Red Pepper Mango Salsa, and Roasted Tomato Salsa! They even have a $1 off coupon you can print to try them! I am looking forward to trying the Red pepper Mango Salsa. Yum!

You can check out more info, recipes and coupons on their facebook, twitter and website.
