Arm and Hammer Sensitive Skin Plus

Ryan has sensitive skin, but I didn’t realize it when we first got together. The detergent brand I usually bought worked fine for him. One week another brand of detergent was on sale so I bought it, and Ryan broke out in a rash. Later he told me of one other brand that worked okay for his skin, so I’d buy whichever brand of the two was cheapest. When I heard that Arm and Hammer came out with a laundry detergent that is specifically designed for people with sensitive skin, I was excited to give it a try.

When I first used the detergent, I first noticed how the detergent is mostly clear in color instead of blue or another unnatural color. This is because the detergent is dye free, part of what makes it a safer option for people with sensitive skin. When the washer ended, I intentionally smelled the wet laundry (I always do, weird habit) and noticed a faint, clean smell but the scent is weaker than your standard detergent. When the clothes finished the dryer, the faint smell was still there but not very strong, making it a great option for people who are sensitive to strong perfumes but who want their laundry to smell nice.

We don’t usually have stains on our clothing, so I haven’t got to see how it performs on stains yet but our clothes smelled and felt as clean and fresh as they have with any other detergent we’ve tried.

Ryan has worn clothes washed with the Arm and Hammer Sensitive Skin Plus several times now and his skin has shown no signs of irritation. In all, we were quite pleased with the detergent and can’t think of any way that it could be improved for us. As a frugal shopper, I like to remain open to as many brands as possible so that I can buy whatever is cheapest each week and we will definitely be adding this arm and hammer detergent to our list of “safe detergents” to buy.

I wrote this review while participating in a campaign by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Arm & Hammer and received a product sample to facilitate my review and a promotional item to thank me for taking the time to participate.
