Father’s Day is this Sunday and if you are still searching for that special gift, I have the perfect suggestion.  I received a gift pack from Hallmark consisting of 3 super cute Hallmark Father’s Day cards, Watson the Interactive Story Buddy and a Curious George Recordable book.  I was extremely excited to do this review.  I of course LOVE Hallmark cards and I have always wanted a recordable book.  When I found out that Curious George was an option I squealed with delight!  Little C has been a fan of Curious George for as long as I can remember.  I was also interested in the interactive Story Buddy.  I remember seeing commercials for these cute little guys, but never really knew how they would work.  Watson is wonderful and works just the way he is supposed to!

Out of the 3 cards I received, the Grandpa card was my favorite.  It has superheroes on the front of it and is very fitting for Little C.  I can see him picking this out at the store to give to his Pops or Granddaddy.  I also really like the Dad card, which I will giving to my Dad.  It fits him perfectly.  I highly recommend Hallmark cards if you are looking for something special.

As for Watson the Interactive Story Buddy, Little C loves it!  He loves to curl up with his daddy and hold Watson while the book is being read.  I wasn’t sure if Watson would still respond the same if Little C was holding him opposed to sitting him on the couch or table, but he did!  Watson is a friendly stuffed animal who comes with his very own book.  When reading the book you must speak in a clear voice and the room you are in must be relatively quiet, but Watson isn’t so sensitive that everything has to be completely silent.  I am extremely happy about that fact because my house is never completely quiet.

My favorite gift is once again the recordable Curious George book.  It is very simple to use and record.  I had my husband record the book for Little C because he travels some and isn’t at home for bedtime some nights.  Little C has a hard time with separation anxiety even at the age of 3.  We have had the same nightly routine for most of his young life, so when my husband isn’t here it can be quiet difficult for him to cope.  We always read Little C a book at bedtime and it is always a book of his choice.  When my husband isn’t home, the recordable Curious George book is something special that Little C will pick from his bookshelf and listen to.  Even though his daddy isn’t at home, Little C still feels like he has a piece of him.  It is so sweet!
