Balance Bar was founded in 1992 by people with a passion for living a healthy life thru sports and proper nutrition.  They actually are the folks who introduced some of the very first energy/nutrition bars and essentially launched an entirely new way to enjoy a quick, nutritious, on-the-go snack/meal.

Even their name (BALANCE) describes their goal…to create a way for us to enjoy a healthy and balanced life thru property nutrition so we can get the most out of what life has to offer.

Balance Bar has a new bar just for women, called Nimble. Nimble is one of BALANCE’s 40-30-30 bars.  The term 40-30-30 is used because 40% of the calories of this 120- calorie bar are in carbs, 30% are from protein, and the other 30% are from dietary fat.

In order to keep the calorie count down, Nimble is made with Truvia® brand sweetener.  Because Nimble is one of BALANCE’s all in one bars (energy, beauty, nutrition), it includes essential ingredients such as FloraGLO® Lutein and Beta-Carotene (for your skin) as well as Protein, Fiber, and Calcium for a healthy body.

For our review, we were sent a box of 12 Nimble bars.  The box contained both Yogurt Orange Swirl and Peanut Butter flavored bars.   Well, as far as I’m concerned, anything that tastes like Peanut Butter is going to be a huge hit with me and I wasn’t disappointed with the taste of the Nimble Peanut Butter bars.   Oh my gosh!   I dashed out of the house this morning, and only had time to grab a cup of coffee.   Only a few items into my “to do” list and I noticed my stomach growling.   Thank goodness I remembered that I had a couple of Nimble bars in my purse so I grabbed one and devoured it.   Mind you these bars are small so I ate the entire thing in 3 bites but it was enough nutrition that it stopped my stomach from growling and I was able to continue working on my “to do” list without getting lightheaded or grouchy. The Orange Swirl Yogurt bars are equally delicious.   In fact, they remind me of Orange Dreamsicles.   You honestly can’t go wrong with either flavor.

Did I mention that I also received the cutest little Glittersweet mini purse?   This small purse easily holds 6 bars and I make sure it’s full and in my purse before I leave the house.
