Have you had a chance to see the “What to Expect When You’re Expecting” movie? I haven’t yet, but the movie includes toys from the Lamaze brand. I recently got to check out three lamaze baby toy items.
I have a niece due in August and everyone was thrilled to find out that she’s a girl, so everything being purchased for her is really girly. I loved the uniqueness of having a hula girl toy, as I can’t recall ever seeing a hula girl toy before, ever. The hula girl is suitable for babies starting at birth, and attaches to strollers by velcro which is soft and gentle in case baby gets a grip on it. The skirt reminds me of “taggies” which babies tend to gravitate towards.
We also got to check out the Stretch The Giraffe take along toy that is also designed for babies starting as early as birth. It it a ring that allows it to be attached to infant car seats or strollers, etc. I like how it is bright and gender neutral, and includes many different textures including the plush body, teething rings around the neck, “taggie”-like ribbons, and knotted ribbon.
The last item is designed for babies 6 months on up, and is an adorable blue octopus called Octivity Time. It also has “Taggie”-like hair, a wide variety of textures on each tentacle including a mirror, one that crinkles, and one includes a ring so that it can attach to a stroller, car seat, etc.
All of these items would make great gifts for baby showers or for bringing as a gift to the hospital, and are affordable as the octopus can be found for under $20 and the other two can be found for less than $15.
