RoomMates Peel and Stick Decor is an online store that offers a variety of peel and stick wall decor options. Their selection includes movies and comics, sports, kids, room borders, mirrors, and so much more. They also offer the option of creating your own wall decal design if you can’t find exactly what you’re looking for in their vast selection of pre-made designs. The website offers a blog page that shares decorating tips and project ideas, as well as a section for those frequently asked questions that inevitably come up.
For my review, I received the Amazing Spider-Man Giant Wall Decal. My five year old son is in love with anything Spiderman, so this was the absolute perfect gift for him. When he opened the package, he was ecstatic and ran straight to his room to hang it on the wall. He was so excited to help hang it on the wall, but I was hesitant at first because I thought it would be too difficult for him to do. However, it was much simpler than I expected. Spiderman came in several pieces, which made it much easier to work with. Had Spiderman come in one large piece, I don’t think he would have made it on the wall without serious complications. My biggest problem was that the pieces wanted to stick to themselves, and once that happened, it was a time consuming and slow process to get them un-stuck.
I enlisted the help of my boyfriend and, of course, my five year old son. Together we got it done with no problem. We positioned Spiderman’s torso where we wanted it on the wall, then fit his arms and legs onto his torso. It took a little time to get the pieces lined up so there were no white spaces and so all the lines matched up, but I much prefer spending a little time on this than trying to put Spiderman up in one big piece.
Spiderman is also completely removable from the wall if you make a mistake. One of his legs didn’t want to line up with his torso, so I had to take it off and reposition it several times. I had no issues removing it from the wall and reapplying it. We haven’t had any issues with any of the decal pieces pulling away from the wall.
I would absolutely recommend these wall decals as fun, creative ways to decorate a room. It was fun spending time with my son getting it on the wall, and he absolutely loves looking at it every day.
