I recently came across a new green online store: Reusable Bag Store. It’s a store that sells… I’m sure you’ve guessed it: reusable bags! They have everything from shopping bags to sandwich bags and lunchboxes and even backpacks and laptop bags made from recycled materials. They also offer stainless steel bottles and bento lunchboxes as well as a range of products to help ‘green-ify’ your kitchen such as plates and utensils.

I think green products make awesome presents. I love to give eco-friendly gifts as much as I like to receive them. Last year, I offered to everyone in my family reusable shopping bags which they are still using today! I love it when gifts have a long term impact and help people become more eco-conscious.

For this review, I received a Kids Trunk Pack Backpack in Teal. It’s an adorable for my daughter. It measures approximately 10” by 12” by 5”. I find it’s the perfect size for a daycare bag or a small kid backpack or a travel bag when she goes to grandma’s for the night. I can fit my daughter’s cloth diapers, change of clothes, and everything else she needs for the day in it.

It’s a very fashionable and gender-neutral teal color and has a cute panda print on it. Actually, you only see an outline of the pandas’ eyes, nose and ears which I think is really unique. It has a front pocket with a cute slightly abstract elephant on it. You can also see the elephant on the back on the backpack (the part that is against the child’s back). The shoulder straps are slightly padded and adjustable.

Why is it green? Because it is made of 100% recycled Polyester. There is also a rubberized non-toxic waterproof coating on the underside of the fabric so your stuff is protected again rain and such. Instinctive, the company that manufactures the backpack also gives at least 1% of the sales to the WILD Foundation to protect the Earth.

Overall, I really like this backpack. It’s the perfect size for a child and it fits what a child needs for the day at daycare or for a night at grandma’s. Reusable Bag Store offers tons of great green products and they also have a great flat rate for shipping across the US and free shipping on orders over $50. That’s one more reason to encourage people green in my opinion!
