Right before our holiday gift guide started I was sent a variety of Tyrrell’s English Crisps. These aren’t your typical potato chips for a few reasons. They’re thick cut, meaning you’ll notice a big texture difference because these have a real crunch to them. The other reasons aren’t necessarily immediately noticeable, but if you do your research you’ll discover that they are hand cooked in small batches and they don’t use artificial ingredients – there’s no MSG found in these crisps. All of their seasonings used are completely natural. They even leave the potato skins on.
We were able to try out seven different flavors and my personal favorite was sea salt & vinegar. If you enjoy other types of salt and vinegar chips you’ll love these. I also really like the sea salt and cracked black pepper chips. Ryan was a bit bothered by how crunchy the chips were but between the two of us there was only one variety out of the 7 that neither of us cared for. Considering how we are both very picky eaters who don’t venture outside the box very much, I consider Tyrrell’s a success for us. While I can’t say that I’d replace our regular brand with these, they are good and almost seem like they belong in their own category. The bold flavors and crunchy texture makes them seem like their own unique snack. For that reason I think it’s best to think of them as something new to try instead of comparing them to what you’re currently familiar with.
Tyrrell’s also makes popcorn & tortilla chips that I’d love to try. Their popcorn flavors seem so much more adventurous than the ones I’ve seen in stores.
Buy it: You can use the store locator to find where to purchase Tyrrell’s in your area. In my area they are sold at Meijer and a few small health food stores.
Connect: You can connect with Tyrrell’s on Facebook and Twitter.
Win it: 7 regular sized bags of Tyrell’s chips + a tote bag + chip clip. $30+ value. This giveaway is open to the US and will end on 12/30 at 11:59pm EST.

I completed all the requirements in the Rafflecopter above. I LOVE chips and would love to eat these babies in every flavor until I was ready to burst. However, if I had to choose one, I’d choose the mild cheddar and chives. YUMMY.
