Briarpatch recently came out with a new line of puzzles and games that are Pajanimals themed. Pajanimals is a cute TV show for kids that is shown on PBS’s Sprout channel. I personally haven’t watched the show with kids in my life but the characters look really cute, and is a Jim Henson Company show. The Jim Henson Company is known for being involved with Sesame Street, The Muppet Show, Bear In The Big Blue House, Dinosaurs, Fraggle Rock and several others.
The new puzzles and games are designed for kids ages 3+ and combine fun with learning. Of course, Pajanimals fans will be excited by these but I think kids who aren’t familiar with the show would enjoy them as well.
There is a My Growth Chart Puzzle that is a 17 piece puzzle that when assembled becomes a growth chart. It’s designed to help children learn numbers, counting math principals. The pieces are designed to be self-correcting to help avoid frustration.
There is a My First ABC Floor Puzzle which is a 27 piece puzzle with self correcting pieces. When assembled, the puzzle is 6 feet long that teaches ABC’s, matching words and visual recognition.
The My First Adventure Game which is played by following a path and matching objects to reach the finish. It has two play patterns so that your child(ren) can get more play out of the game. It is designed to teach visual discrimination, sequencing, hand-eye coordination and language skills.
Last but not least, the My First Word Game is a game where children match picture tiles and find the objects in the illustration. The game has two play levels so it can be used for a longer period of time. It includes six double sided playing board, 18 picture tiles and a parent guide. It aims to teach visual discrimination, early learning word skills and hand-eye coordination.
All four items sell for $14.99 each making them affordable birthday gifts, Easter basket fillers, etc.
Pajanimals fans can find Pajanimals on TV March 18 – April 14th as part of the “Spring is Sprouting” event that will feature lots of your favorite Pajanimals episodes. You can keep up with the Pajanimals on Facebook.
