Just watched the product from rock-salt-lamp after reading your blog and seriously i am going to buy it for my sister who disturb me the whole night with horrible snoring voices.

In reply to Eliza Ferree. This particular salt lamp doesn't get hot. It just gets a bit warm, definitely wouldn't burn anyone, and just feels good to the touch. I think most are supposed to just get warm, but it would depend on the brand, and the bulb that's put in them.

Salt lamps are such a great way to create a warm and positive energy in a space. I have one in every room of my house for that reason. They also help to negate the effects of EMFs!

These are really neat, I can see a teen really loving one of these lights. Do they get hot? ie if a young child touched it would they be burned?

We have one of these and absolutely love it! I use it every single day, particularly in the evenings to keep the upstairs dimly lit in case one of the kids wake up in the middle of the night.
