Ball Jars are rather iconographic in America. They evoke images of a simpler time when the country had more rural communities and ran just a little slower. I am sure even most people in the city have seen them, but to me seeing one brings back memories of long ago on my Grandma’s farm in Texas. She would can at the end of the season and the house would smell so good. But when the jars had been emptied out they became our drinking glasses.

Ssh-oes Review

I don’t normally wear heels, but it is good to have a pair on stand-by for a date night or things like that. So when Ssh-oes offered to send me a pair to review, I was happy. When they came they were of a very high quality and looked lovely. Sadly enough, I messed up my ankle during yoga class and was not able to wear them. Luckily I had a friend who was in the market for a quiet high heel.

I am a reader and a writer. I have been for as long as I can remember. I have kept a journal for the last 30 years. It is a great way to let out my emotions and a cool way to see where my head was at in any given time period. So when Journal 10+ offered to send me one of their journals I was stoked. Their journals are really cool in that it records a whole decade of one’s life.

I was sent S.T.A.R. Awardz, Ultimate Truth or Dare, and Acting Out. The games can be played with 2 or more players ages 7+ .

Food SHOULD taste good. If food that is good for you tastes good, too, then it is a win-win situation. Food Should Taste Good is a chip company unlike any other of which I am aware. They have several varieties of chips that I have never heard of before and all are healthy, gluten-free, cholesterol-free and do not use GMOs (genetically modified ingredients). They are also certified kosher and many of the types of chips are vegan, so they are great for people who follow special diets.

Auric Blends Review

I don’t really wear perfumes too often. I prefer to wear essential oils and other natural scents. Mostly I wear either Nag Champa or amber resin. I have purchased my amber resin from Auric Blends in the past, but was not too familiar with their company. They have been around since the 80s and have made both natural and synthetic scents. The scents they sent to me are made with essential oils and other natural materials.

Over the last few years I have been reaping the benefits of a friend’s garden harvest. He loves to grow veg, but doesn’t really like to eat it. So I have been freezing veg for winter and also eating more than my fair share of tomatoes and peppers during the summer. This year, however, he has opted to expand the garden by about 3 times as much and asked if I would like to have my own section of garden that I plan, plant and maintain all for myself.

Living in NE Ohio, we always look forward to the warmer months and spending some time outside. So when Lightspeed Tents offered to send me a Lightspeed Quick Cabana I was excited. This partcular tent is not necessarily for sleeping in, but it is great for outdoor play with the kids and keeping you safe from the elements on the beach or as a hang out spot while camping.

It is really easy to set up.

Dean Dairy Review

We are chocolate milk lovers around here. My kid’s drink Dean’s chocolate milk at school every day, but I had never had it before. So when Dean’s Dairy offered me some of their product to taste and review I was excited. I had never seen it at my local grocery, but when I was a few towns over running errands, I saw it in their grocery and picked up a gallon of the 1% Chocolate Milk and the Whole Chocolate Milk.

GelPro Gel Mat Review

I am on my feet A LOT in my kitchen. We don’t have a dishwasher so I spend hours out of my day over the sink. GelPro Gel mats understands this problem and has made a product to help my aching back. GelPro sent me a Willow Fern Gel mat to try out and it has certainly exceeded my expectations.

I found it has been helping my knees, back, and ankles and I could tell almost immediately I was going to really enjoy using it.

Joe the Cigartainer started Private Brands of Cigars over a decade ago in order to ensure there was a high quality cigar that could be used for business and entertainment purposes. Since then he has been written about in several magazines and even written his own book entitled Long Ashes, Baby! which is his kind of trademark statement. He also explains on his website the idea that long ashes show the quality of the cigar.

It’s a neat place to shop for unique foodstuffs that be shipped as gifts to any of your loved ones…or yourself! The founder realized that she had begun sending gifts to family and friends all over the country for different occasions and it was increasingly becoming more about food. She took this idea and from it formed this business to act as a venue for small individualized bakeries, boutiques, etc.

I was sent 2 packages of Breathe Right Advanced Nasal Strips to try out. I would say “luckily” we all came down with a Spring cold just around the same time…but it wasn’t too lucky, I guess. Though, it was fortunate we had these strips to help us battle the misery that comes with not being able to breathe.

First, my teenage son came home from school not being able to breathe. I suggested he put a Breathe Right strip on, but I had not opened the package yet, so suggested that he wait until after his foray to the library since, in my past experiences, Breathe Right looked like a band-aid on your nose.

I am a confessed guacamole snob. It is one of my favorite things to eat. Growing up in TX it was a cheap, healthy snack. In Ohio, where I live now, avocados can cost upwards of $3 a piece so I rarely get to treat myself. I have also not been one for packaged guacamoles, though I have tried many. Her poetry is haunting and her background was always shrouded in a bit of mystery.

I received a Parental Control Kit for 3DS to review from Bigben Interactive. My 13 year old son has a 3DS, but he does not generally need too many time limits set since he has other hobbies that take up a lot of his time. His biggest concern (and what made me want to try out this product with him) is that you can set an alarm so your child can’t hold it too close to their face.

I was sent the Bluebeards Original Trio from Bluebeards Originals to review with my mate. The Trio consists of 4 oz. Beard Saver, 8 oz. extra-conditioning Beard Wash, and 4 oz. Wonder Beard weekly conditioner. We really like these products and I plan to buy more when we are out of our current supply.

The first reaction we both had was to how charming the logo is. I like pirate skulls, so I found the packaging attractive.

I have long been a fan on Gorton’s fish sticks and was happy when they offered me two free product coupons to try whichever products I wanted. I went on the website to learn more about their products before I went shopping and was surprised at the variety of seafood they have! I was able to choose between breaded fillets, battered fillets, all natural grilled fillets, salmon grilled fillets, five star tilapia, fried shrimp and grilled shrimp…and in each of these categories are different seasonings on the seafood!

Before the company contacted me I had never heard of YooHoo Friends, much less this newest incarnation that are called Wannabes. Now we think they are just great! I was surprised when I learned that Aurora released the original YooHoo & Friends collection in 2006 and has sold more than 14 million pieces around the world since (13,000 daily). When the package came I let my 11-year old daughter open it and she squealed with delight at how cute her little Wannabe was.
