I’m a fan of personalized gifts. I like when something is a little extra special for a child. I was sent a copy of “Owl Always Love You Alex – A bedtime story for little night owls“. Our older two children both have books with their names in them that they had received as presents from their grandparents so we thought it would be nice for our 3rd to have a fun book that included him too. I really like the fact that you can include a dedication of up to 6 lines with up to 35 characters in each. This is a great way for the child to remember who gave it to them.
The book is very well written with rhymes on every page. The words flow very nicely and each narrative includes a beautiful illustration of owls and includes a scene about whatever the current stanza is about. From mooing cows, the sun and moon, shoes and socks and cradles that rock, fluffy kittens that purr and cuddly teddy bears, soft and cuddly sheep, sweet dreams and soaring kites, this book is a great spread. Each page reminds the child that you love them which is something that can never be told to a child (or anyone) enough.
When I showed this book to our little one, he grabbed it and ran to the couch to look it over. He really enjoyed the pictures. Typically, each evening at bedtime, we read from the children’s Bible, a few chapters of the BoxCar Children, and then Alex chooses a book too. I have a feeling that this will be his book of choice for a long time now. He really enjoys it and so do the rest of us.
I have to say that out of all the personalized books I’ve seen, this one is probably my favorite. It’s well made, well written, and will be treasured for years to come. I’ve seen some pretty cheaply made ones before and flattenme has done an excellent job in making a high quality product. “Owl Always Love You” would definitely be the hit of any baby shower. This book would make a great present for any special child (or anyone ages 0-100) in your life. This would truly make a great keepsake gift for any new parent. I love personalized children’s books. I remember a fun book my parents gave me and my brother. They were personalized with our own names but spelled backwards. So my character was a giraffe named ‘Kerred’. I thought that was so cool. My brother’s book had a lion named ‘Yeldarb’. I still like to call him that every now and again…and he’s 47.
