Thank you to Mastrad  for providing me with a Macaron Baking Set, free of charge, for review.  These are my own honest opinions.

I have to be perfectly honest from the start. I had never heard of macarons before.  However, after seeing the beautiful Macaron Baking Set that Mastrad carries, I was intrigued.  I started doing research online and then I was nervous.  Everything I was reading about macarons was intimidating.  I guess they are a hard cookie to make perfectly.  So I may have my work cut out for me.

Upon opening my Macaron Baking Set, I was impressed with the overall look.  The items in the box were very nicely presented and would make a great Mother’s Day gift, birthday gift, or Christmas gift.  The pieces included in this set are: a macaron cookbook, silicone baking mat with ridges, silicone pastry bag, 6 nozzle tips, a clip to secure the end of the bag after filling, and a stand to hold the pastry bag and accessories.   I love the stand that accompanies this set as it made filling the batter into the silicone bag extremely user friendly.  There is a cap on the bottom of the bag as well so it will stop anything from spilling into the stand.  After you have added your filling to the bag, just slide up from the stand, twist the cover off, and twist on the nozzle tip of your choice.  Very easy!  I was able to easily fill the ridges on the baking mat with the desired amount of batter without much trouble.  The tip, bag, and mat worked perfectly.  I had placed the silicone baking mat onto my stoneware cookie sheet to keep it solid so after I filled the ridges for the amount of batter I had, I was able to easily slide my cookie sheet into the oven to bake.

I really like the fact that even though this is labeled a macaron baking set, you can easily use the silicone bag and tips for other baking projects. Mastrad really did a good job in coming up with a quality, user friendly, multi purpose set.  However, my favorite part is that clean up was a breeze.  All the pieces I used washed up with very minimal effort.  As a busy mom, I was so happy with the quick clean up.  Nobody wants to have to stand at the sink scrubbing dishes and Mastrad has succeeded in creating a great easy to clean product here.  Mastrad also carries many other products that you can check out on their Website.  They have a lot of great looking items.

Now for the results.  For my first time, I’d say they were a success!
