You might remember reading my Mother’s Day post about Parker Pen which was published a few weeks ago. Not only was I lucky enough to review the beautiful IM Premium Metallic Pink Rollerball Pen, I also received an Urban Premium Metallic Black Chiselled Rollerball Pen to try out in honor of Father’s Day.

Parker Pen has been around for 125 years which speaks for the high quality and durability of their pens. Their products are well known for their distinctive design and elegance. They offer many different styles, from classic styles to more modern ones and their pens come in a variety of colors. There are also 3 writing types to choose from: Fountain Pen, Rollerball, and Ballpoint. With so many options to choose from, you can find the perfect pen for Father’s Day. The Urban Premium Metallic Black Chiselled Rollerball pen is, as its name states, a glossy black color with chrome trims. There is a geometric design engraved along the pen and the cap which gives it an interesting visual appeal. I think this pen would suit a more conservative person as well as someone who wants a pen that makes a statement. The Urban collection comes in the following colors: Silver, London Cab Black, Matte Black, Metallic Black, Metallic Brown, Metallic Pink, and Metallic White.

The ink flow of this rollerball pen is very smooth and uniform thanks to Parker Pen’s FreeInk technology. I haven’t had any issues with leaking or blotting. I personally find that a rollerball is a nice compromise between a fountain pen and a ballpoint. It’s easier to use than a fountain pen but provides a more distinctive and luxurious writing experience than a ballpoint. The pen has a nice weight to it and is easy to maneuver because of its ergonomic shape.

When you purchase your Urban pen, it will be nicely packaged in an elegant gift box with a Quink Refill for Rollerball with black ink. You could also get a blue ink Quink Refill separately if you prefer. A Parker pen would make a great Father’s Day gift because it is distinguished and elegant. It’s a bit of a luxury item that most people don’t purchase for themselves so they would appreciate receiving it even more.
