*I was sent Hello Oral Care products for review in exchange for this post. These are my honest opinions.
As a kid, regular adult minty toothpaste made me feel like my mouth was on fire. My eyes would water and I just hated it. Yet, as an adult I always go for really minty toothpaste because i’ve gotten so used to that burn that to me, it means a clean/fresh mouth.
I was in Target a couple of months back with my sister when we spotted an end cap that had uniquely shaped bottles. They caught our eye and we wandered over to see what they were. At first we assumed it was body wash, so we were surprised to discover it was actually mouthwash from the brand Hello Oral Care. Weeks later, when I was approached with the offer to review that same brand – and learned that their products are 99% natural, alcohol free and painless, I decided to give them a shot. I had tried other natural oral care products before but never found one that fulfilled my needs well enough to make the switch long term. Yet, I’d still like to be able to find a more natural toothpaste and mouthwash so I’m happy to try out new ones.
Hello oral care products come in Supermint, Pink Grapefruit Mango, Mojito Mint and Sweet Cinnamon. I didn’t think I would get the minty-ness that I crave from Pink Grapefruit or Mango, so I opted to try Supermint toothpaste and mouthwash, and both Supermint and Mojito mint breath sprays.
While the mouthwash and toothpaste did have a minty flavor, they didn’t give that strong, tingly “fresh” feeling that I crave. For that reason, I decided that this brand wasn’t for me but I can see these working great for people who either are indifferent towards the tingly fresh feeling, or who have sensitive mouths and find those feelings painful. The brand advertises as being a “seriously friendly oral care brand” and I completely agree with their statement, this stuff doesn’t give any tingle or burning sensations. As a kid, I struggled to find a toothpaste that I liked the flavor of. I liked mint, I just didn’t like how strong adult minty oral care products were. So I think the mint varieties from Hello would have been great options for me as a child, and would be great for those with sensitivities to other mouthwash and/or toothpaste options.
I like the container shapes, too. Although the toothpaste appears to be really small, it was within a few ounces of being the exact same size as my “regular” toothpaste – so don’t let the container shapes fool you into thinking you’re getting less. They look much nicer sitting on a counter top than a traditional lumpy toothpaste tube.
I really love the Hello brand mouth sprays. They come in cute, round little containers and taste nice. They are a perfect size to throw in a purse (or even a jean pocket) so that you’re able to freshen up after lunch, a snack, etc.

I have the little breath freshener spray and I love it! It has a great taste that’s not overpowering.
