I’d like to introduce you to the company Umbra in case you’ve never heard of them. I was sent their Cuppa Measuring Cup Set and Dash 4-in-1 Measuring Spoon to review. I love to cook and bake. I am a stay at home mom/ farmer so I make home cooked meals pretty much every day of the week. Being that we homeschool as well, lunch is our main big meal of the day. Since I do cook and bake often, I’m always on the look out for tools to make this experience easier and more fun.  Umbra has created some great products that are ascetically pleasing, easy to use, and helped me with the cooking and baking process.

The Cuppa Measuring Cup Set includes the 1 cup, 1/2 cup, 1/3 cup, and 1/4 cup measuring cups.  I really like how nicely they fit together and look like a cup.  My 5 year old son wanted to drink out of it when he saw it stacked as a whole.  He was surprised and thought it was super cool when I showed him that it wasn’t a real drinking cup.  This is one set of measuring cups that I will be in no hurry to shove in a drawer.  All this and they are also BPA free.

The Dash 4-in-1 Measuring Spoon is also very easy to use.  It includes four different measuring spoons in one.  The 1 teaspoon, 1/4 teaspoon, 1 Tablespoon, and 1/2 teaspoon.  The Dash is slightly flexible and there is one measuring compartment on each side of the spoon.  I am always looking my smaller measuring spoons because they get lost in the bottom of my drawer so I am excited to have one brightly colored large “chunky” spoon that will be able to accommodate my measuring spoon needs.  The Dash is also very easy to use, washed up easily, and is also BPA free.

Umbra has been around for over 30 years.  Paul Rowan, who is a graphic designer, was on the search for a nice window shade and couldn’t find one to fit the bill.  So he made one.  He received so much positive feedback that he soon teamed up with his friend  Les Mandelbaum and they created Umbra.  Umbra is  a Latin word that means “shade.”  Umbra has continued to grow and has become a leader in designs for the home that have broken the mold and jumped to new heights in the home decor and gift market.  Be sure to head over to their site and check out all their products.  They carry everything from wall decor, organization, hooks, and drapery to accessories for your bath, kitchen, photo displays and storage, jewelry, cans, clocks, office to furniture, pillows, games, and more.  They definitely have something for everyone.
