Thank you to Pilot Corporation for sending me samples, free of charge, for review.
All opinions are my own.
Pilot is a name that many people know and trust when it comes to quality. Pilot Corporation has been a leading manufacturer of quality writing tools in the US since 1972. It’s parent company, Pilot Corporation in Tokyo, dates back to 1918. You can also find additional subsidiaries in countries such as the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, France, Singapore, Russia, and more.
When heading back to school, you need to get the right tools. When adding notebooks, folders, markers, calculator, construction paper, and more to your carts, be sure to swing by Pilot’s selection of writing tools to ensure that you will have quality pens too. I was sent pens from Pilot’s Back-To-School Survival Kit Recommendations Families: FriXion Family, Dr. Grip Family, G2 Family, B2P Family, and the Acroball Family.
I am going to first tell you about the pens that impressed me the most, the FriXion Clicker. Back when I was in school, my parents bought me an erasable pen. Not a Pilot brand either. I’ll start off by saying that it did not erase well. It would leave streaks and you could still see exactly what you “erased”. Definitely made for messy papers and left me starting over many times because I couldn’t stand turning in sloppy work. The FriXion Clicker is a retractable pen that has erasable FriXion gel ink. I was sent a three pack that included a pink, blue, and purple. All three wrote beautifully and smoothly. Now I just needed to know if they really erase. As you can see by the photos, the pen erased beautifully. I couldn’t believe it. I am in love with these pens. They are available in eight different colors: black, blue, red, navy, purple, green, pink, and turquoise. Every child (and adult) could use a set of these pens.
The G2 Family is the Number 1 selling gel ink pen in America. It is known for its long lasting writing ability and is available in 14 different colors and 4 point sizes. The G2 Fashion series can be found in 5 different barrel colors that all contain black ink. We found these pens to write well and look ascetically pleasing.
The B2P Family features the B2P Gel and the B2P Ballpoint. I received a pack of the Ballpoint which is made from 83% recycled plastic bottles with 86% total recycled content. It encompasses a rubber grip and boasts smear free ink. I’m happy to not have an ink hand when using these pens.
The Dr. Grip Family Precise V7, and, Acroball Family rounded out the selection of pens we reviewed. The Dr. Grip has been recommended by the Arthritis Foundation for ease of use and was proven twice as comfortable as traditional ball point pens. The Acroball Family is a combination of gel ink with quick drying ball point ink so allow quick effortless writing. I remember using a pen by Pilot similar to the Precise V7 back when I was in school so I mustn’t be the only one who enjoys the easy ink flow and the way the pen glides across the paper.
Pilot really does know how to create great pens. All of the pens we received were a big hit. Check out my review on the Metropolitan Collection. My husband is still hogging this pen and said it even makes paying bills not so bad.

I’m a city girl turned country by my awesome husband and we have three busy boys and two darling daughters. I love spending time with my family, reading Karen Kingsbury novels, and catching up with friends while our kiddos have play dates. I’m blessed beyond measure and can’t wait to see what God has in store.
