I love summer! I love to spend time outside and as a family, we are on the road a lot either to go visit family, go to the beach, go camping, or just go a road trip. We always plan try and plan ahead so we have snacks to eat along the way. Of course, through our commitment to go green, we also stay away from relying on single use water bottles.

How do we keep hydrated then? We use reusable bottles, mugs and cups. But all eco-friendly drinkware aren’t equally suited to be taken on the road or when you are on the go. Having bottles that are spill proof yet easy to operate with one hand becomes essential! That’s why Contigo drinkware is the best option when it comes to eco-friendly drinkware.

Click the image to see it larger.Contigo offers a unique selection of travel mugs, water bottles, and kids cups. Their products are either made of stainless steel, or Tritan which is a 100% BPA free, high resistance plastic that won’t stain or retain odor. The stainless steel products bottles and mugs are vacuum insulated so they are perfect to keep your drinks hot or cold. They can keep your drinks hot for up to 4 hours or cold for up to 12 hours.

Contigo has developed a very unique AUTOSEAL technology: your bottle or mug is 100% spill- and leak-proof unless you press a button which releases the seal. As soon as you let go, it automatically seals itself again. The placement of the button, either around the top of the bottle or on the handle of your mug means your fingers will naturally rest on the button and it will be easy to press it with one hand.

The other innovative technology you’ll find in Contigo products is the AUTOSPOUT. You’ll find this unique feature on spouted water bottles. It allows you to pop the silicone spout of the bottle at the touch of a button. Again, the button is easy to operate with one hand. When you’re not drinking, you can push the spout back under the spout shield so it stays clean. These bottles are also spill- and leak-proof until the spout is released but they don’t feature the AUTOSEAL technology so once the spout is released, the bottle is not spill-proof anymore. It’s not a big deal for me because the spout is easy to retract but it’s something to keep in mind.

All Contigo products have a sleek design to fit in most cup holders.  They also have a wide opening which makes it easy to fill them up and even put ice cubes in your drinks.
