I love to find unique clothes for my daughter. As I’m sure all parents think, I believe she’s one of a kind and deserves to look her best. I get super excited when I find a new company that designs clothes that match my daughter’s personality: unique, bubbly, colorful!

This is exactly what Decaf Plush has to offer! They have the cutest line of clothes and decor items for babies, toddlers, and kids. The selection of fabric and the style of clothes have a modern flair with some retro accents. Each item is embellished with a signature felt applique. It’s really Decaf Plush’s trademark and adds visual interest to already adorable clothes. The felt they use actually comes from recycled plastic bottles.

The unique aesthetics comes directly from the mind of Kimberly Murray, designer and owner of Decaf Plush. She combined her background in architecture, furniture and graphic design to her love of everything vintage to create one-of-a-kind looks! Here is a small sample of Decaf Plush products. I should warn you that these images might send you into a shopping frenzy!

For this review, I received 2 beautiful outfits. First, there is the adorable Country Picnic Dress With Teal Mod Bird Pockets.

This is probably the nicest and most unique dress my daughter has ever had! It is made of cotton white and gray pinstripe chambray, a fabric similar to denim but thinner and softer because it is weaved differently. The collar and waistline are accented with a beautiful floral fabric with bright red, blues, and cream and pink piping. There are also 4 decorative wooden heart buttons that my daughter loves to show to everyone!

There is a zipper at the back and a ribbon that ties around the waist. Because of the ribbon, I get really get a perfect fit on my daughter’s small waist even though the dress has a little bit of room for her to grow into. The ruffled sleeves are a cute vintage detail. Of course, there are 2 bird felt appliques that function as pockets. Their teal color really pops and adds a touch of whimsy to the dress!

The second outfit I received is a top and skirt combo. I received the Ladybug Pocket Ruffle Top with a Flamingo Denim Skirt (the skirt is not currently featured on their website).

The ladybug top is also made of gray chambray. The collar and ruffled sleeves are done in a cotton fabric with a cute ladybug print. The large felt applique is also a ladybug and doubles as a pocket. There are 2 over-sized buttons at the junction of the straps and the ladybug strip of fabric. The skirt is made in dark blue denim. The waistband is made in pink cotton fabric with white polka dots. There is a slit in front of the skirt which uncovers the same funky polka dot print. The slit is also functional because it allows my daughter to move freely. The skirt has 3 flamingo felt appliques, 2 are in solid bright pink and look like silhouettes, the other one is slightly larger and made in lighter pink felt with white and brown details. This outfit is definitely more modern looking than the Country Picnic Dress but both looks have the same winning ingredients: great choice of fabric, contrasting accents and decorative details, and unique felt appliques.

I was really impressed with the craftsmanship of Decaf Plush’s clothes. The sewing is impeccable and each piece looks like something only stars can afford! The attention to details, from buttons to ruffled sleeves, and choice of fabric make each piece stand out. We get a tons of compliments on these clothes and people also comment on how well they match my daughter’s personality. It is rare to find clothes that are this well designed and constructed, look great, and still let the child who is wearing them be a child (not some doll or mannequin) and shine through!
