Smart Planet is a company founded in 1995 that strives to offer some of the best eco-friendly household items. They offer a variety of products from reusable mugs, reusable bottles and drink cups, meal kits, and home innovation products. They also have a selection of licensed products: they partnered with many well-known companies such as Twinkies, Nestle Nesquik, and Slush Puppie and created small appliances that allow you to replicate your favorite treats at home!

For this review, I received an Eco Collapsible Deluxe Salad Bowl. It is one of their newest meal kits and comes in 4 colors: pink, blue, green, and orange. This unique meal kit has a silicone base which is both microwave and dishwasher safe (however, the lid, the spork, and the tray are neither microwave nor dishwasher safe.) The lid is leak-proof and stays in place thanks to 4 tabs that lock it in place. The bowl measures 7.5 inches in diameter and 4 inches in height when fully expanded. The meal kit is a great size and it can easily contain any entree salad you fancy! It could also provide a good size side dish  for 2-4 people.

Because silicone base is soft and flexible, the bowl can be collapsed to half its size (2 1/4 inches high) which is definitely a nice feature when it’s time to store it in your cupboards.

The other nice feature is the that the bowl has 2 compartments: the lower portion where you place your lettuce or salad, and a toppings tray in the upper portion. The toppings tray is divided into 4 sections: 3 for your favorite toppings, 1 for a dressing container and a foldable spork. It’s great to have everything neatly stored together! The toppings tray is especially useful to keep toppings like croutons or grated cheese from getting all soggy. Every topping stays nice and fresh until you’re ready to mix your salad!

Alternatively, you could use the bowl for a pasta salad, a potato salad, or even a soup and use the tray for snacks, fruits, crackers, or small cookies. I even thought about using the dressing container for chocolate sauce and the toppings tray for sliced fruits! The possibilities are really endless!

Overall, I am really pleased with my Eco Collapsible Deluxe Salad Bowl! It’s such a great design with the toppings tray, dressing container, and spork all included. The fact that it’s collapsible means it’ll save space in your cupboards. I’m considering getting other meal kits because they make it so easy to pack healthy lunches!
