*I was sent a Taggies Snuggle Me Sleeper free of charge in exchange for this review. All opinions are my own.

My sweet little niece Kelsie got off to a rocky start when she was born in mid March this year. She spent a couple of weeks in the ICU that felt like months. She’s now 5 months old and I’m so thankful that I now feel like that rough patch is so far behind her. Her only current struggle is acid reflux and I was recently able to test out the Taggies Snuggle Me Sleeper with Kelsie, thinking it would be nice for her acid reflux.

If you’ve ever dealt with acid reflux, you know that it tends to act up at night. I get acid reflux if I drink too much tea. One summer I was trying to wean myself off of soda, and began drinking tea more often and had really bad acid reflux. I didn’t realize at first that it was the tea causing me problems and it was almost impossible to sleep. Eventually we propped the head of our bed up so I could sleep and it helped so much. The Taggies Snuggle Me Sleeper is elevated so I thought it could be beneficial for Kelsie.

It was really easy to put together, I did it myself without reading the instructions. It took less than 10 minutes.

Kelsie is an odd sleeper – she always pulls her face towards her right side and tries to burry her face into whatever is there – if shes being held, its your arm – if she’s in her crib, its her mattress, if shes in her carseat, its the side padding. Of course, this is a bit unsettling because of SIDS. So, I love how the Taggies Sleeper has mesh sides on the top portion so when Kelsie turns to burry her head, its into that mesh area that I know she can breathe through without a problem.

There is removable padding to help keep baby comfortable and a taggies giraffe that comes up above the buckle area so that baby can hold and play with the giraffe and its tags. There is also a soothing vibrations clip for the side of the rocker napper that causes vibrations to help soothe babies. The frame collapses really small and the Sleeper has a weight of 10.9lbs so it is rather portable. It’s nice to be able to take over to family members houses, outside, the park, camping trips etc so that you don’t have to bring a big, bulky, hard to fold play pen. If the padding or material needs washed, you just undo the four plastic snaps (Two at each end) and then snap the legs off and the fabric can be pulled right off and thrown into the washer and dryer.

Had to giggle at this picture – almost looks like she’s pretending to sleep for my photo. I actually just caught her mid-blink, I think. She was awake.

It can be used from birth up to 20lbs. Kelsie is kind of still a peanut as about two weeks ago (4.5 months) she was just 12 pounds so this will last her for quite a while yet. For most babies, they’ll fit into the Snuggle Me Sleeper for as long or longer than they could sleep in a bassinet. The Taggies Baby Sleeper retails for $59.99 at Toys R Us (where it is sold exclusively) making it way cheaper than a bassinet. The coloring is primarily green and yellow, making it super gender neutral so it’s more likely to last you through multiple babies as well.
