I make no secret that I am a huge fan of Stokke products. The reason I like Stokke products so much is that their designs stand out above the crowd.  While the Tripp Trapp was the first product to catch me eye, their strollers stand out too.  Their design, features, and quality make them rise above.  Each time I am out with my Stokke strollers, I get comments, compliments, and stares.  The Scoot just received the “Someone is riding in style” comment yesterday.

One of Stokke’s newest strollers is their Compact Connection Stroller called the Stokke Scoot.  We have had our Scoot since April now and it has become a valuable member of our family.  While I do enjoy baby-wearing and use that method often, there are times when our (now just turned) 3 year old wants a ride or when it’s too hot or difficult to carry our 1 year old and a stroller is necessary.  During those times, I turn to the Scoot.

The first thing I like about the Stokke Scoot is the small footprint in our vehicle.  Because we have four children, which means four carseats, diaper bag, and other supplies in the vehicle, we don’t have much spare room for a large stroller.  The Scoot gives me all the benefits of a full size stroller but doesn’t take up all our cargo space.

The next thing I like about the Scoot is that Stokke put a nice size basket on it that is accessible from both the front (between the foot rests), sides, and rear.  Not only do they have a nice basket, but Stokke’s Changing Bag can be purchased separately and clips on the back of the frame so the basket is still available for whatever else you need to transport.  Most strollers are out of room once you put the diaper bag in the basket or tippy if you hang it on the handles but Stokke created a solution to those problems with their changing bag.  Because of where the changing bag clips on, the stroller is still completely stable and safe.

 Another great feature on the Stokke Scoot is the brake.  It passes my flip flops test.  There is nothing worse than when I have to bend down to work the brake on my stroller because I’m wearing sandals.  The Scoot passes with flying colors.

The Scoot also had a great one hand fold.  As I stated above, we have been using the Scoot for months and the fold still works flawlessly.  It is a quick simple motion and the stroller is folded and compact.

The Stokke Scoot is also suitable from newborn, with the aide of the Softbag, on up.  The Softbag is now included with the Scoot but can also be purchased separately if you don’t have one.  The Softbag supports newborns and can be zipped open and the top cover removed.  Once outgrown, the Softbag folds flat for storage.

Another great feature on the Scoot is the two-way seating.  I really like to be able to see my babies at all times when they are little and I love that the Scoot allows this feature.  Once our children show interest in the world and enjoy looking out without being overstimulated, I turn the seat outward.  The seat also has two seating options, rest (which is the reclined position) or active (which is the upright position).

I really like that Stokke also offers Textile Kits so you can change the look of your stroller without having to purchase a whole new one.  They also offer many great accessories such as the parasol and stroller blanket.  The parasol is a fun and useful accessory that has come in handy time and time again.  The arm is bendable and you can adjust the parasol to block the sun, wind, or rain from your child.  Definitely creates a better environment during less than ideal weather.  The Knitted Blankets are made from 100% cotton and the colors are beautiful.  This feel of this blanket is amazing.  The quality and the way the weight falls is amazing.  This is the nicest stroller blanket I’ve owned (and I’ve had a few.)   There are so many great features and accessories I listed, and even more that I didn’t, that make the Stokke Scoot a great find for a Compact Connection Stroller.

We have taken our Stokke Scoot everywhere.  It’s been to the beach, grocery store, park, field trips with our homeschool group, and around the farm.  The Stokke Scoot truly makes heading out with with young ones easier.
