I really enjoy cooking and baking homemade meals for my family. Since we farm and I homeschool our children, lunch is our big family sit-down meal. I also do a lot of baking with the kids. Just this past week alone, we made banana bread (twice), monster cookies, Zucchini chocolate chip cake, and lemon flavored roll-out Halloween cookies. Baking is a great learning experience and I enjoy the time the kids and I spend doing it too. Plus, it’s really nice to be able to bless others with the goodies we make!
During all this cooking and baking, it’s really nice to have tools that help make it easier. I have come to love some of my accessories, tools, and bowls. For this review, I was sent the Quick Wisk from Mastrad. The Qwick Wisk Universal Mixer is a handy little tool that would be great for making homemade sauces, whipped cream, mayonnaise, and beating egg whites among other things. The Qwick Wisk is very simple to use. The lid comes off completely to allow a large opening for adding ingredients or they can be poured directly into the half-opened lid of the emulsifier. The lid then easily screws on tight for a sealed fit. The handles located at the top can then be pulled up and pushed down in an effortless motion.
We have been enjoying experimenting with the Mastrid Qwick Wisk. The kids love that it’s easy and fun for them to use too. When I make pies and calzones, I mix an egg with water to brush over the tops and then sprinkle with seasonings. The difference in adding this “ingredient” is amazing and the Qwick Wisk made it even easier. Typically, I would try to whisk it up in a cereal bowl and end up with a mess. The Qwick Wisk not only did a better job mixing, but we had no mess either. The cylinder is a great size and the kids and I are able to grip is nicely while using.
